CANCELLED

Teen Camp is an intensive 8-day riding camp for girls ages 14 to 17 years.  Intermediate to Advanced riding skills are a must to attend  this camp.

Teen Campers will ride a variety of styles such as: Western, English, bareback, dressage, reining, barrel racing, etc. Be ready to push your riding skills at this camp. Because of the intense curriculum in this camp, it is not appropriate for novice riders. Before attending you must be comfortable at all gaits in both English and western tack. You should also be capable of catching, lunging, and tacking up a horse without direct supervision.

During camp, each camper will be responsible for caring for their horse.  They will catch, groom, feed, water, clean, bath, put their horses to bed each night and any other work required to care for their horse during the week. This is as close to horse ownership as you can come without purchasing a horse.

Your days will be filled with working your horse, while your evenings will be filled with relaxing campfires, stargazing, games, perhaps a horse movie, new friends and lots of giggles. Or, if you need some time alone, stroll along the peaceful paths that border our serene pond at Lang's.

You are welcome to ride your own horse at camp, however, if your horse is not able to participate in all aspects of our camp, you will not be provided with an extra horse.  Your horse must be in great shape and be versatile enough to handle this very full week of diversified riding

Housing at Lang's is quaint and unique and adds to the western experience. There are two housing options for teen camp:

1. Adorable camping cabins are available. The cabins are designed for two to four girls per room. The additional cost for a cabin is $75 per girl for the week. Only 10  cabin spots are available, so sign up early.

2. Tent camping is also available along our beautiful lake. If your camper would prefer to bring a tent for more privacy, we welcome it.

Please note that the cabins do not have electricity. All sleeping areas are bunk bed style.

Our shower facility has four shower stalls and makes personal hygiene a breeze.

Food at Lang's is made on site by our Camp Cook at the Camp Diner. We provide regular, and vegetarian meal options. If you have other special dietary requirements, please contact us before signing up for camp to discuss whether we will be able to accommodate your needs. You may be asked to provide appropriate substitution foods.

We at Lang’s Horse & Pony Farm are committed to providing a safe, educational, and welcoming environment for all our campers, patrons, volunteers, and staff. If your child requires special assistance for educational, behavioral or medical needs at school or other programs you will need to contact our office directly before enrolling in one of our camps to ensure that placement is feasible. Please read the attached information. For further details click here.
